How it actually goes
The honest version โ including what "going well" looks like at this age.
- โฑ 30-second set-up
- Three minutes: warm water, flour, salt and oil in a bowl. Mix until it stops sticking.
- ๐ง What you do
- Make it with them, not for them. Then sit down and make your own thing beside them.
- ๐ถ What they do
- Squeeze, poke, roll snakes, and squash whatever you made.
- โ What success looks like
- At 2โ3 there is no model, no snowman, nothing to photograph โ just squeezing. That is the whole point.
- ๐งบ How to put it away
- Scrape the table with a spatula, dough into a tub, tub in the fridge for next time.
- ๐ When they outgrow it
- At 4โ5, add a garlic press and a blunt knife and let them cut what they make.
